Why won't my Spotify on Android continue at the exact same point in songs?

Whenever I take a break from playing music and try to continue again my app won't continue at the exact point in the spesific song that I paused. It changes to the start of the next song instead. I've checked a different phone (same model as mine) and it does'nt happen there and I've tried to look at the setting but can't find anything.

We can recommend that you check the phone's battery settings and make sure that Spotify is set as an exception if you're using the battery optimization option.

It's also a good idea to check that Spotify has the permissions to run in the background.

In case you've checked all these and you're still experiencing the same behavior, it might be a good idea to try performing a clean reinstall of the app with the steps here.
