Viewing spotify notifications makes system unresponsive

I use Oppo Reno 2z.

Ive noticed that when I use Spotify, it frequently makes my phone have massive lag spikes, even when the app is running in the background.

Ive narrowed it down to the bug happening when I see spotify notifications.

the bug is triggered frequently on the lock screen, where it makes unlocking my phone almost impossible.

it's also triggered frequently in the notifications menu. where it can make the notifications menu completely unrepsonsive, and even the system UI.

a workaround Ive found, that works as of now (I did this about an hour ago), is completely blocking Spotify notifications. opening spotify hasn't triggered the bug, Spotify runs smoothly.
