Hey @dfrzzy,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

In this case, we'd recommend unlinking and then linking your Spotify account from your Google Speaker to see if you notice any difference. You can follow the steps in this article, the ones you find under Add multiple Spotify accounts.

If the above doesn't do the trick, would you mind sending us the make/model of your speakers(s) along with the Spotify version you're running on your mobile device? We'd recommend checking if there is perhaps a pending firmware update for your speakers(s).

Lastly, and just to confirm, is this happening only when you're casting music with your phone to speaker(s) or does it happen when you're just using your mobile device?

Keep us in the loop!

While casting to smart speaker/Google home I navigate away from the app to home screen/different app, then when volume is adjusted for device being casted to I am pulled back into Spotify app without any input or even touching the screen. Highly irritating, also not a fan of the pop up thing within Spotify that shows the volume of music while using the cast feature as you have to tap anywhere in the app to dismiss it before you can interact with the UI.

Plan

Premium

Country

USA

Device

Pixel 6 pro

Operating System

Android 13
