Spotify won't recognize Android phone under devices

Hi all,

I could use some help getting Spotify on a Samsung s20fe to control an Alexa speaker.

On my phone in the Spotify app, I can see all our devices for playing songs (Echo Dot, computer etc.) However, on my son's phone (a Samsung s20fe), none of these devices appear (like his computer or our Echo Dots.)

We've rebooted his phone and done a clean reinstall to no avail. I'd appreciate some help.

Thanks for posting in the Community.

Is the phone in the same network as the playback device? Could you try resetting the network connection?

The reason for the described behavior is most probably due to the network setup, but which exact setting you have to change, we don't know, because it varies across different setups. We suggest you to try experimenting to see if there is any change.
