topic Cannot play local files in Android

So, my subscription run out the other day, and I can't afford to renew until Saturday. I have been listening to my local files on my android since then with no problem. Suddenly, halfway through a song, everything goes dead, and I check to find it telling me that I now need to have a Spotify subscription to listen to music that I own the rights to, and have hard copies for on CD that I have transferred across. What the hell is this crap Spotify? I have been a premium subscriber since the first day you released in Australia, 26th May 2011, and it has always been a Spotify promise that I can listen to my local files without subscription and without Internet connection. I am enraged beyond belief here. Please tell me this is just some sort of coding error, and you haven't decided to cut people off from music they have rights to when they don't pay up.
