&lt;P&gt;Even with Spotify set as the default player it is expected to not start playback, but instead you should open the local file folder in the app from where you can pick a track to play.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can also organize your &lt;A href="https://community.spotify.com/t5/FAQs/Local-Files/ta-p/5186118" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;local files&lt;/A&gt; into Spotify playlists and access them from Your Library.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regarding your mobile app issue - could you please share a bit more info with us? Do you mean you cannot search for Podcasts? If so, can you send us a link to the content that you can't find on your mobile app, but you can on your iPad?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Keep in mind that if you're using VPN on&amp;nbsp;your devices - some podcasts may not be available as availability varies between countries and regions.
