Lock Screen Now Playing Cover Art Incorrect (Android)

My Question or Issue

The Spotify floating notification on the lock screen displays the current playing song but shows the cover art for the song it played previously.

I have tried reinstalling Spoitfy multiple times, same issue.

Does the issue persist on another device? When did you notice that Now Playing was not showing the correct Cover Art? By any chance, are you using an SD-card?

If you haven't already we also suggest a clean reinstall of the app, as it's different than a quick reinstall and can help resolve issues with Spotify's performance. You can follow the steps under Android - 6.0 or above here.
