Hi, I'm having the same issue on Google Pixel 7 and Android 14. I think the correct app behavior, if a sleep timer is set, would be to skip crossfade for this time.

Hey there @RvBVakama,

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

Just to confirm, is this only happening on your phone or on other devices as well?

On another note, would you mind sending us a short screen recording of this behavior so we can take a closer look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).

We'll be waiting for your reply.

Hey @RvBVakama,

Thanks for your reply.

We can confirm that this is expected behavior. The crossfade blends the sound of the current song, but it kicks in once the next song starts playing. This is why it doesn't seem to work when the next song won't start playing (due to the sleep timer).

We understand your point of view as you expect the playback to fade out at the end of the song, but we're afraid it doesn't work like that at the moment.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us and will make sure to pass it onto the right team, as we always strive to improve your experience.

Hope this clears things up. If you need a hand with anything else, the Community is here for you.

when you have Crossfade on and a sleeptimer on „at the end of the song“ its skips that much as the crossfade is on ( if crossfade is on 7 seconds you cant hear the last 7 ) doesent sound that much but at some songs it is much

Its 2026 and this issue is still not fixed. What takes y'all so long to get this done... Just pause the crossfade and automix when i set a sleep timer as "end of the track". You have no idea how irritating it is when a track just pauses in the middle when i set this sleep timer. Please fix this issue and provide an update, it will make the user experience wayy better.

Trust me when I say, I felt like throwing away my phone when i peacefully tried to end my listening experience with this end of the track sleep timer and Spotify just pauses in the middle of the track.. Like ffs.. Finish the song and pause...
