Both of my devices are Samsung Galaxy S8 and Lenovo Duet Chromebook 10.1, and they are signed in to my same account. When I sign in to my Lenovo Duet Chromebook 10.1 after putting in my PIN or password and after several minutes, it takes control with this app and the media control appears.
