Keyboard Disappears from Search When Internet Connects

My Question or Issue

When first opening the app and searching, the keyboard will disappear suddenly after a brief period, causing me to unintentionally click whatever was behind the keyboard.

This seems to occur when internet connection is established since it happens when the search text changes from "search downloads" to "what do you want to listen to?"

This is a relatively new issue, and has not always been the case. It consistently occurs whenever I open the app and the app connects to the internet.

That's an odd behavior. To start investigating it, would you mind confirming if you've tried any troubleshooting steps before? If you don't, we'd recommend first performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article. This is often an overlooked step, but it’s more thorough than a quick one and can be helpful in getting rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

If the issue persists, would you mind checking on a different device (using your own account) to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out.

Lastly, include in your next response the OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running.

I have good news! My phone broke and does not work at all any more, so I no
longer have this issue.

When I did have a functional phone, the issue persisted consistently even
after restarting the device, but I did not try a clean reinstall. I believe
the OS and spotify version were the most recent available for my device.
