Some podcasts not playing

My Question or Issue

Some podcasts won't play, others will without problems.

Did the troubleshooting steps and also chatted with support, no help, just a lot of time wasted.

The progress bar is gently flashing, but the podcast is not playing, it stays at 0:00. Feels like it's trying to load an ad but can't, which then blocks playback, but that's probably just my cynical impression since there hasnt been a different explanation yet. As I said, other podcast episodes play fine, some don't. Anyone have an idea?

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

Would you mind sharing with us the troubleshooting you've tried so far? That way, we'll avoid repeating any steps. If you haven't yet, we think it might be worth it for you to perform a clean (more thorough) reinstall of the app on the affected device. By doing that, the app can be up-to-date, and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this issue.

Meanwhile, we'll need to gather some additional info to have more context. Please send us:

The make/model and OS of the affected device.
The exact Spotify version you're running there.
The link to one of the podcasts in which you notice said behavior.
Does this happen across all your devices?
