Hey there @Jurij1,

Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community!

If you haven't tried yet, we'd recommend resetting your Echo Dot and setting it up again. Also, it's worth unplugging your router > waiting a couple of minutes > plugging it back again to see if that makes the difference.

If the issue persists, you can try removing the device from your Account page, if you can see it there.

However, if none of the above does the trick, we'd recommend creating a new account and using the same Echo device to check if the same happens.

Let us know how it goes.

Plan

Premium

Country

Germany

Device

All devices

Operating System

Android, Windows 11, Chrome Browser

I see a strange device in Spotify Connect, and I can’t delete it. At one point, I played something on it, and it started playing on my Echo Dot in the living room. I restarted my Echo Dot, but the device icon is still showing, although it’s grayed out. The name also includes a special character (&), which is usually not allowed in device names for Echo Dots.

I’ve logged out of Spotify on all devices, reinstalled the app, changed my password, and tried using the Android app, Windows app, and the browser version. This device keeps appearing everywhere. I can’t delete it or play anything on it. To me, it feels like it’s cached somewhere, but I don’t know where. Could it be in my account? How can I remove it? I suspect it appeared through a public Wi-Fi connection and now won’t go away. It is the first device on the screenshot. The other group also appears twice, but it should appear only once.

I hope someone can help me with this.
