Google Maps dashboard will not appear

When using Google maps my Spotify dashboard that used to pop up on the bottom is no longer appearing. According to my Google maps and Spotify settings, they are linked. I have tried disconnecting and re-linking many times. The instructions on the official Spotify FAQ for this are outdated as it instructs me to press a button that does not exist on Android Google maps settings anymore.

I have been toying with this for months, this is so frustrating. I just want to know what song I'm listening to without crashing my car!!

My phone is a Google pixel 8a.

Is the Spotify icon not appearing at all within the Google Maps interface or is just the Browse section missing? Can you check if there are any pending Google Maps updates and perform a clean reinstall of your Spotify app as well to make sure you're running the latest version?

It'd also be great if you can share a couple of screenshots or a screen recording of how this looks like on your end, so that we can have a closer look. If the file is too large to attach, you can upload it to Google Drive (make sure to allow general access to the file) or as an unlisted YouTube video. You should be able to search for directions and start a route in Google Maps without actually driving and Spotify should appear in this case as well.
