Spotify not joining jam.

I'm using a Samsung S21 FE. I'm trying to start a jam with my friend but every time I click the link or scan the QR code it takes me to the homescreen. I've tried restarting my phone and logging out and then logging back in as well as clearing app cache My friend is also having the same issue. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Community. No worries, I'll try to help you figure out what's going on.

I'd recommend you try having a clean reinstall of the Spotify app, just to make sure this isn't a device-related issue. I'd also recommend you try this process using a different network connection (Wifi/phone data).
