Podcast progress dissappears when downloading

My Question or Issue

Every time i download a podcast i have started the progress disappears. The only way i have found to circumvent this is to have the episode playing when i start the download. I have tested on both my S24 Ultra and S21 both have the same issue which have lasted for a long time.

Spotify version 9.0.8.127

First up, it's well worth running a clean reinstall of the app on your devices to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

If this doesn't do the trick, it's a good idea to exclude the app from any Battery optimization software that might be active on your smartphones.

However, if the issue persists, would you mind sending us a short screen recording of the issue happening so we can take a closer look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).
