Wireless Android Auto (A15/OnePlus12): Audio randomly stops while track continues playing

My Question or Issue

Wireless AA on a 2025 Mercedes with latest updates.

Spotify audio will randomly stop, while progress bar continues on. The audio will recover if I hit pause, wait 4s and hit play again. Rarely, it will recover on its own after several minutes (5+). Repros with streaming and downloaded content. No issues over wired connection. No stuttering or other issues (wired or wireless). For a while it seemed like maybe specific incoming notifications might be causing the interruption/cut-out, but the issue repros even if all notifications are muted.

Iphone 15 Pro works flawlessly 😞

Heres everything I've tried. I'm reluctant to do a full wipe/reset of the phone because it would be pretty disruptive for work.

Spotify app
1. Disabled battery optimization
2. Allowed background activity
3. Reinstalled/Cleared data & cache
4. Repros with streaming & downloaded content

1. Enabled Battery High performance mode
2. Muted notifications
3. Tried RAM expansion feature (Device RAM is 16GB)
4. Disabled Live Alerts (all apps including Spotify)
5. Android Auto (13.7650624-release)

  3. No battery/power settings to manage
6. Wireless settings
  1. Cleared Cache
  2. No battery/power settings to manage
  3. WiFi connection to the vehicle doesn't seem to have any properties that can be changed.
7. Developer mode
  1. Enabled Wi-Fi scan throttling

Same for me, OP12 + W214 E class. But it is not only spotify, I've tried YT Music, and Youtube, all have the same issue. Let me know if you have found the solution, thanks!

It's fixed after taking an update to MBUX and to Spotify. Both were released last month in US (after my post). If I had to guess, it was the MBUX update that fixed the issue. It's not 100% perfect xp like on iPhone , the audio will occasionally cut for 1s but get restored without any intervention.
Are you in the US? Do you have the 2.6.1 MBUX update?
