Can't Voice type

I have a paid spotify account. I am using Spotify on an Android device. I am not able to do voice typing to search nor have I been able to for quite a while. I have tried the native Samsung keyboard, Google's keyboard, and Microsoft swiftkey.

While I can ask Google's assistant to open a song or playlist, I want to be able to search inside the app with my voice.

I feel like I have seen other people with this issue when searching for a solution, but they're all really old posts. Any ideas what I can try?

I have done the obvious uninstall reinstall, clear cache, turn off phone, check for updates.

Maybe I'm confused? I thought Hey Spotify was more for asking to play a
specific song or playlist using your voice. I use Google Assistant often
with spotify for this. But typing into the app search bar with my voice
can't be done with?

I'm trying to avoid typing into the search bar in the app, and instead
voice type into the search bar...not a Hey assistant thing.

This is still possible on my Apple devices, not my Android despite trying
several keyboards.

I included a picture of what my microphone on my keyboard looks like
normally, what it looks like in spotify, and what it looks like on my Apple
device.

I have the same issue on my Samsung Galaxy.
