Issues With (Built-In) Spotify App on BMW OS 9 (Android OS) iDrive

Ever since the (built-in) Spotify app got updated automatically from V4.9.x to V5.1 on BMW OS 9, it has been exhibiting these issues:

Spotify no longer resume playing songs upon starting the vehicle
Spotify widget on the infotainment display no longer work (i.e. song details, progress bar, buttons, etc.)
Navigating menu and playlists in the Spotify app works but songs wouldn't play upon tapping

I have tried these several times but to no avail:

Logout and re-login Spotify account
Remove and re-add BMW Connected Music access on Spotify account
Delete and re-install Spotify app from BMW ConnectedDrive Store
Reboot BMW iDrive system

Any thoughts?

BMW iX1, Budapest, Hungary - 1 week old car.

I have Spotify on my desktop PC and iPhone, a paid subscription.

I just downloaded Spotify version 5.1 onto my iX1. Logged in with email/password. All my albums, lists are there, synched. Even though the songs seem to be playing (the seconds are counting) there is no sound at all. I tried all kinds of things (a reset, iPhone off etc.) but just cannot hear anything. I guess it is software...

My Question or Issue

I installed the native Spotify app on iDrive 9.

However, when I start the car again it will only respond to the physical button for previous and next. The song info doesn't change and the entire app becomes unresponsive until I change to radio and back to Spotify.

After doing this it works for the remainder of the ride and I have to do this all over again when I start the car.

I tried the following already:

- Reinstall Spotify

- Logout and Re-login

- Disabling CarPlay

- Removing Spotify from my phone (in case it would conflict with BMWs app)

- Rebooting iDrive 9

Hi, same thing with my iX1. I noticed that Spotify becomes responsive when switching audio sources.

My Question or Issue

I have a Bmw 1 F70 with Connected Drive and Spotify app on iDrive9
When I search for a music group, Spotify returns only 5 albums. For example if I search for Pink Floyd only 5 albums come up, among which for example "Dark Side of The Moon" is missing.

Does this happen to others?

The app also lacks the ability to start a radio from a song. It also lacks the ability to switch to an artist from a song and to an album from a song.

All this was possible on the Spotify App on iDrive7 on my old BMW
