No edit playlist or shuffle button

My Question or Issue

There is no edit playlist or shuffle button for me. They both only show up on other devices, which I can't use anymore because the charger for those broke. I've tried restarting my phone, going on browser instead of the app, and everything else other posts on here have suggested. The buttons just aren't there.

Also, what I mean by shuffle button is the button to toggle shuffling and playing the playlist in order.

I attached pictures of what my Spotify looks like where the buttons should be.

Thanks for reaching out!

Just to confirm, does clearing stored cache from the app make any difference? Once it's done, you'll need to sign out from the app and back in again. Completing these steps should resync your account info.

Should this behavior persist, could you let us know how the playlist appear for you before opening the 3 dot menu, to give us a better understanding of the issue you're describing? Feel free to include a screenshot of it, just make sure to mask any personal info.

Also, could you check the exact Spotify version you're currently running on your device? It would be great if you could confirm from which section of the app you took the second screenshot as well 🙂

I cleared the cache and the issue is still there. All it did was remove another button from my menu, the "remove from profile" option. The second screenshot is from what it looks like when I open the playlist, and when I click on the edit playlist button there all I can do is view the songs on it and remove them. It says I'm on version 8.6.20.1063.

Looks like you're running an outdated version of the app. You'll find the latest one by installing Spotify from the Google Play Store. If your device is an older model, you can check if it meets the minimal system requirements here.
