Load downloaded songs first on poor internet connection

When you have poor internet connection, Spotify still tries to load your playlist from the internet despite it being downloaded. Only when you lose internet connection and the connection status changes to disconnected will it retrieve downloaded files instantly.

It would make the experience much more enjoyable if regardless of data connection status, downloaded songs would appear instantly and any non-downloaded songs would continue to load.

No worries, if you're not in a place where you can catch a fast connection, you can just switch the "Offline mode" on in the app settings and you'll be able to see and listen to instantly all your downloaded content. For more info, take a look at this article.

Hi Eni,

That is quite a long winded solution to the problem. I still want the songs to load but would like the downloaded songs to appear automatically.

I agree this isn’t a solution. I have this problem on my daily commute which has intermittent connectivity. Spotify just hangs, more so than other apps. Airplane mode is the way to get it to play downloaded. music/podcasts.
