Hey there @Catma,

Thanks for reaching out on the Community!

Just to check, do you notice any difference after clearing stored cache from the device? Once it's done, make sure to log out from the app and back in again. Completing these steps should resync your account info.

Shouldn't that do the trick, could you double-check if this happens with all audiobooks or just with a specific one?

It would also be great if you could let us know the make and model of your device, along with the Spotify version.

Keep us posted on how it goes!

I have the same problem. I'm currently working with Spotify Support Chat to see if we can fix this.

Audiobook chapters are missing but they seem to appear after 8 to 10 minutes. However, if I go to another app and then return to Spotify, the chapters have disappeared again. The problem only occurs in the Android app. Web browser is fine. "About" and "More like this" details are also missing.

For you, do chapters appear after 8 to 10 minutes? (And then disappear again)

This did not work.

I am using a Samsung Galaxy S24

Version # of spotify app is 9.0.18.604

@catmit yes the other tavs are also blank. I have not seen chapters ever load in maybe i need to wait longer.

We could replicate the behavior you kindly described. In that sense, we'd like to gather some additional info. Please send us:

The make/model and OS of the affected device.
All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.
The exact Spotify version you're running there.
Does this happen when playing a specific audiobook? If yes, please send us the link to it.
Does this happen if you open a different account on the affected device? You can ask for the account of a relative or a friend to open your account and check.
Some screenshots of the behavior you're seeing on your side.

Note: Be aware this is a public space, so please don't share any personal info on the screenshot you'll send us.

Additional information related to my problem:

Samsung S23, Android 14

Spotify Version 9.0.18.604

Troubleshooting Steps:

Cleared cache
Clean install
I used a test account (provided by Spotify Chat Support) to access my Android app: I was able to see chapters ok.

The problem happens with ALL audiobooks, regardless of whether they are in my library or not, and regardless of whether I have ever listened to the audiobooks or not.

I have attached a screenshot.

Here is a link to a screen recording that illustrates part of the problem. I had an audiobook open. Initially the chapters were not displayed, but after 8 minutes the chapters appeared. (This is when I started the screen recording). However, after switching out of Spotify and back again, the chapters had disappeared. Here is the link:

I have an identical problems running:
- Spotify 9.0.18.604

- Pixel 7 Pro

- Android 15

I cannot see anything on the "chapters", "extras", or "more like this" pages in any audiobook. Audiobooks will play from wherever they were left off. Reinstalling the app did not help. Thanks!

We checked with the relevant team and this should now be fixed. Could you make sure to update Spotify to the newest version and let us know if you're able to see the Audiobook chapters on your mobile devices?

No, it hasn't worked. Same problem.

Spotify is already the latest version.

I also cleared cache.

I restarted phone.

Do I need to do a clean reinstall?

Just bumping this as you said you'd be on the lookout. The "fix" has had zero effect.

I'm on the latest version of Spotify. I've cleared the cache. I've restarted the phone.

I was just able to update spotify via the app store.

New version # appears to be 9.0.20.604

Can now see chapters. The "More like this" tab still seems blank but chapters and about are populated.

Ah brilliant! Thanks for posting your progress. I checked several times yesterday and I couldn't see an update. The update finally appeared so I've just updated to 9.0.20.604.

Chapters and "About" are now populated.

`"More like this" is also blank for me (although I never use it).

I'm having the same issues with Google Pixel 8. I either can't see the chapters at all or it won't let me scroll down to later chapters in the book. I uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache and re signed in. Still no change

The issue of not being able to see chapters is fixed, but now I can't scroll down to later chapters. I'm currently listening to a book that I can see in my queue has ~100 chapters, but I can't see past chapter 18 on the chapters tab. I'm on a Pixel 7, Android 15, Spotify version 9.0.20.604

I am having the same issue - sometimes the chapters don't appear, but when they do I can't scroll past the first 20 or so, so it's pretty difficult to navigate. I'm on chapter 70 but can only see up to 20 on the audiobook page.

I've tried all the fixes suggested, so there still seems to be a bug.

I have the same issue. Only the first 20 chapters will show up, even in an audiobook that I was almost at the end of. This happens with every audiobook. I am on a Motorola g power, and Spotify is updated.

I had this problem as well - until just now - so I'm going to describe what I did.

Pixel 8 phone
Android version 15
Spotify version 9.0.22.543 (latest version available to me)

I've been noticing for a few weeks that I couldn't scroll to the end of the chapters in Audiobook view. To skip to a later chapter, I had to play the last one I could see in the list and then scrub to the end of that track. I was reading a book with over 30 chapters, and I couldn't browse past 16/20 in the list.

Before writing this message today, I checked if the problem also occurred on my Amazon Fire HD tablet (Spotify v.9.0.24.601) on it. I could scroll to the bottom of the chapter list on there. When I checked back on my Pixel phone, I can now scroll through all the chapters. The app hasn't updated in the meantime.
