Cant work out background play

Hi all, when playing spotify and my phone screen turns off, the music stops. Spotify keeps prompting me to change my background activity and when i click on the button, it takes me to settings but i can't seem to find the right area to alter this? Thanks

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Spotify Community!

I personally have a Samsung phone and these adjustments can be done by going to the device's settings -> Apps -> Spotify -> Battery -> make sure there aren't any restrictions. Mine is set to Optimized at the moment, but Unrestricted would be the best option. Another thing worth checking there is your device's Battery settings and making sure Spotify isn't added to Sleeping or Deep sleeping apps. The steps may vary a bit depending on the manufacturer, but if you have an Android phone, they should be similar to the above.

I also have a Samsung smartphone, but it's an A25 5G.
First, long-press the Spotify icon and then click Information.
Go to Usage, then Battery, and select Optimized.

I don't know what model your Android phone is.
