Android app crashes when desktop app plays from folders

My Question or Issue

I often play playlist folders with shuffle on the desktop app. I am aware that the android app does not support playing from folders, so I always make sure that I change to a regular playlist on the desktop before i open my android app. However, even though the android app was not running when I was playing from folders, it seems to be attempting to load the queue from the shuffled folder. It fails to load the queue, and instead crashes, remains on a black screen, fails to load any playlists, will not play any songs, will not let me access settings, occasionally shows a "something went wrong" error message. The problem does not resolve even several days after I have been playing from folders. The only way out of this sitution I have found is to do a clean reinstall.

This is very frustrating and basically renders the mobile app unusable to me. How can I use the android app after playing from folders on desktop? Is there a way to load the android app with a "cleared" queue?

That's an odd issue since even when you cannot play whole folders in the Android app, it should have no issues playing music after you played a folder on your desktop app. So to start investigating this issue, and in case you haven't tried before, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app on your mobile app by following the steps in this article.

If the issue persists, would you mind checking on a different device (using your own account) to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out.

Lastly, could you record a short video where we can take a better look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to watch it).
