In podcast "Your Episodes", it does not always removed played episodes.

In the Android app podcast "Your Episode Settings", select 'Remove played After 24 hours'.
It does NOT remove played episodes if they were completed on a different device (ie Desktop).
If you select "After playing", it immediately removes all played episodes regardless of what device they completed on (this is expected).
My guess is that the desktop app does not timestamp the episode when it completes, so the mobile app doesn't know when to remove it. Although I've selected the category of Android, I think the real problem is a lack of functionality of the Windows desktop version.

As this is a newer feature, it may still need some polishing before it's fully functional. We can't commit to an exact timeframe for a fix, but rest assured we hope to see it behaving as expected pretty soon.

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

If I understood you correctly, you'd like to remove the entire "Your Episodes" playlist from Your Library. To do this, you just need to empty the playlist by removing each individual episode from it - once all have been removed, "Your Episodes" would disappear indefinitely until you decide to add something back to it again.

Thanks for the reply.

So you've unfollowed all podcasts, but Your Episodes remains, is that correct? If so, what do you see inside? Is this the same across all devices? Just to be sure, we recommend trying a clean reinstall, in case some kind of desync has happened on the device and the list is just stuck. This should get everything back in order and if you really have no followed podcasts, then the list should disappear.

Hi. Why are episodes not being removed from My Episodes when I start and finish them on my Macbook Spotify app? They disappear on my iPhone, as I want them to. I am phone free for a large portion of the day (they are wasting our precious life minutes) so listen via desktop.

Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community.

Just to confirm, have you set the podcast episodes to be removed after playing in the mobile app settings? If so, and it doesn't work on your PC, make sure to perform a clean reinstall of the app on both devices by following these steps. Then, open both apps and go to Your episodes in the mobile app > tap on the Gear icon > Manage > Remove played episodes > After playing. Afterwards, try finishing an episode that's already added to Your episodes in the PC app and see if it'd be removed immediately.
