My Question or Issue

I recently upgraded my phone from a Samsung galaxy 21 to an s24 FE and on my new phone the songs will skip to the next song halfway through. The phone is up to date, I've tried uninstalling spotify, restarting the device and reinstalling, I've also tried signing out all devices from the desktop site, I've tried reconfiguring different variations of playback options and nothing seems to work yet. It doesn't matter if it's from a Playlist or from my "liked songs". It also doesn't matter if the song is downloaded or if I'm streaming through wifi or my cellular network, I keep getting the same result. It also doesn't matter if I'm in offline mode or not either. Any solutions would be appreciated.

Thanks for reaching out & sorry to see this has been happening!

Does the song audio pause with the seek bar still moving or does it fully skip to the next in line?
In case it's the first option, I'm thinking that your issue might be related to this one we have under investigation.

If it's entirely changing the song though it might be something different.

Have you tried using a different mobile device or a different account on your device to see if that would make a difference?
This way we'll have a better idea if the issue is device- or possibly account-related.
Tip: You can create a new free account for testing purposes as well.

As for the troubleshooting steps, you've done great covering almost everything we could have suggested.
I'd still advise trying to clear your cached data and going for a complete clean reinstall of the app if the previous step doesn't help. The process is more thorough than a regular reinstall and ensures that there are no leftover Spotify files on your device before the new installation.

Im having the same issue. Its so annoying when I'm listening to podcast and it keeps skipping to ahead. Any fix identified for this? I have even reinstalled the app via samsung store instead of google to see if it will help. Nope same issue present. Halfway thru it just skips ahead.
