My Question or Issue

So I've been having a lot of fun with the new-ish mix feature. Unfortunately I am finding myself getting jumpscared by suddenly messed-up transitions sometimes when I play this playlist over my car Bluetooth dongle specifically. Sometimes, randomly, it will just bungle the transition timing and no amount of restarting the song will fix it, only completely exiting the app and restarting it that way works (sometimes). It's distracting and ruins the appeal of Mix unfortunately. Mind you it's doing the transition, just... extremely poorly and clearly unsynced, starting and ending several bars before or after I set it.

This is not happening on my desktop, and it only happens occasionally on my phone. I have not yet tested if the error is reproduceable using exclusively the phone speakers, but it's happened often enough when connected to my car. Spotify is up to date.

Thank you for letting us know about this behaviour! It will now be on our radar.

If you don't mind, we'd like to ask you to keep monitoring the issue on your end and to let us know the following details:

If the issue appears only when a Mix is played in a vehicle via Bluetooth or when other Bluetooth devices (speakers/ headphones/ etc.) are used as well.
If the issue ever appears when you're only using your phone speakers without any external devices.
If the same behavior can be reproduced if another mobile device is used to start the Bluetooth playback of the Mix in question while in the car.
If the error occurs randomly, regardless of where you are within a Mix or regardless of the Mix being played?

As soon as we have more information about this, we'll hopefully be able to narrow things further down.

Hi Vasil!

Upon attempting to listen to the playlist via Bluetooth Galaxy Buds Pro 3's, I can confirm the same issue occurs. Transitions just aren't synced.

Thanks for your reply and for the info shared.

We'd like to check, have you tried any troubleshooting steps? If you haven't yet, we'd recommend you clean the cache of the app on your phone to see if you notice any difference.

If the above doesn't do the trick, we'd like to gather some additional details:

Does the issue ever appear when the playback is coming directly from your phone? It'd be awesome if you could check.
Does the same happen when using a different mobile device and connecting to your car? You can ask for the mobile device of a relative or a friend to open your account and check.
Did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update?
The exact Spotify version you're running.

This problem happens for months now and still no fix from the Developer team... Support keeps asking for the same generic troubleshooting procedures, and no progress is made. If they actually used user feedback of people like us who REALLY use the app, HOURS of listening, mixing etc... but no..m they keep asking to reinstall the app, check the version and all this **bleep** that DOES NOT FIX ANYTHING.

Having the same issue here. is this nothing at all to do with Spotify's API type tools that allow services to use? e.g.google/sonos speakers using spotify as a service or connection to play through each of their own "media player". I'm not technologically advanced, my apologies if this doesn't read properly 😄
