Spotify makes volume buttons lag and Spotify does not react to volume changes

(I use Spotify app on Android with a Sony Xperia SP)

The last few days I have experienced that when I listen to Spotify and adjust the sound, it comes to a point where Spotify stops responding to sound button and get all the audio feature to lag.

I have tried to turn off the unit, uninstall Spotify (including deleting data and cather and folders / files related to Spotify) without any result. It's getting pretty annoying when I can only hear music if it is quiet around me.

Please, please help me!

Extra information: I notest that others have similar / same problem.

Some have it only when Spotify is in 'focus', but I have it as long as I am playing songs thru Spotify on my phone.
I don't have the same issue on my computer and laptop tho..

Does turning off the audio effects make any difference?

If I understood you right, no.

I went to Spotify, Settings, Audio Effects. Tried to turn everything off, still no change. Also tried tot urn them on again, still no change.
