I also have the same problem. Im using a Samsung galaxy j6. And canvas is not working on my phone.

Just to confirm, do you see the Canvas option under Settings > Playback? If not, it's possible that the feature isn't available in your region yet. Canvas is currently available in select markets, but we're continuously looking for opportunities to expand it to more regions. We recommend keeping your app up-to-date to ensure you get the feature once it becomes available. You can also vote and subscribe to this idea to receive any updates on the topic.

In case you do see the option there, make sure Canvas is toggled on, and Data Saver is set to OFF. If the issue persists, try the troubleshooting below:

restart your device
log out and sign back in to your account twice in a row - this triggers an internal refresh of the app
perform a clean reinstall of Spotify

Canvas is not working no matter what I do.

No matter what I do, I can't get the canvas to work. I am in Turkey, which supports the canvas feature, I have an Android 10 device, I tried to log-out/in three times on multiple occasions, I checked the permissions of the app and it has all available. I did a reinstall, clean reinstall, cache clearing, full data clearing, trying with a different account. Nothing seems to be working!

My spotify canvas is not working. I can see the canvas covers in the previews of tracks but when i click on them, it shows just the album cover with no video.

The canvas option is not listed in options for me. The option to turn it on or off isn’t even there. Any one know how to fox it

BUG: Canvas not working on iPhone

After the latest Spotify update (9.1.44), I cannot turn “Canvas” on in Settings —> Content & Display.

The ON/OFF toggle seems to be off by default. When I enable it, the toggle flips to on, but doesn’t stay turned on. Thus, when I leave the Content & Display page and come back, the toggle is still off.

Regardless of the toggle’s position, “Canvas” do not appear at all. It used to work before the update.

For context, I had “Canvas” disabled before the update, but I have never had an issue turning it on or off in the past.

Please fix this bug.

Device: iPhone 14 Pro

iOS 26.4.2

Spotify Version 9.1.44 (Latest as of early May 2026)

Hi, I managed to fix it. For some weird reason, the Canvas ON/OFF toggle didn’t work when “Smart Shuffle” was turned on, i.e., it wouldn’t save in the ON position.

The moment I disabled Smart Shuffle, it allowed me to enable Canvas. It’s working now.

A very weird bug, because I cannot seem to replicate it anymore.

Note that I haven’t cleaned cache, reinstalled the app, and the Data Saver mode was turned off even before it. It suddenly started working once I disabled the Smart Shuffle.
