Android spotify uses a cache in the same way although a lot of folk use an external SD card for this. Unlike iOS, you can clear the cache at any time from the spotify settings although I've never needed to do this. Perhaps android memory management is better?

I'm about to drop iOS and move on to Android and was wondering if anyone knows if the caching issue that is present on iOS's version of Spotify is also on Android's?

By this I mean that songs are being cached as they play and memory is being taken up over time... which eventually results in total loss of memory.

Does anyone know? Thanks!
