Spotify Data Stream Data Usage

Hi,

I am hoping to get some help on this -- I've been using Spotify Premium for Android for the past 2 years and never had problems with the data usage over AT&T 4G... until recently. Last month, my phone used up a WHOPPING 5 GB of data and I am not a heavy phone user except for Spotify. This month, I've elected to restrict streaming on Spotify at normal quality, but when I did and reviewed the data uage from AT&T -- to my surprise -- it tells me that in the periods where Spotify was streaming the phone was using 17,000 - 50,000 KB/s.

Is this even possible?

Sorry about this 😕 There is currently a bug here about the usage of android data even when it is not supposed to be using data, it is currently "unresolved" but i think they are working on a fix, here is the bug thread if you want updates on the status.

Thanks Josh. I've posted on that thread too and am hoping there will be follow up shortly since Spotify is now costing me beyond what initially seemed to be a deal with all the AT&T additional GB plans.
