Spotify Connect - Connect Tablet with Phone

Is it possible to connect my Android tablet with my Andorid phone via Spotify connect (and if not, when will this feature be available, as it seems to work with iPhone/iPad)?

Unfortunately, there won´t appear a connect button. The two devices are connected to the same wireless network and have the latest version of the app installed (0.7.4.610.gd7332b3).

My phone is connected to my stereo and I would like to control it remotely with my tablet (with the Spotify app).

It should be possible, but the Connect feature is still in its roll out phase so it might be a case of waiting for it to reach your android devices (it definitely works, my Connect speaker is controled by my Galaxy S4!)

Is there a version number with which this feature should work? I posted the version number I´ve installed above...

Like I said, I don´t have Spotify connect enabled speakers, it is about controlling my android phone (which is connected to my stereo) with my tablet.

Phone: LG Nexus 4

Tablet: Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 2014 Edition

Would be great if I could get it working until New Years Eve party, so that the playlist can be managed with the tablet 😉

Feature roll outs aren't tied to version number, the features are in the app they just get enabled over time as the roll out progresses.

Unfortunately I can't think of any way to manually activate it unless you do have a connect speaker in which case some people have reported that will activate the feature.

Ok, thanks for the clarification... Any idea until when the rollout will be completed? It would be nice to know if it´s a technical problem on my end, or if I simply have to wait a little bit longer for the roll out.

A shame that a simultaneous rollout on all devices is not possible, but there a probably technical reasons for that.

I would imagine sometime in the new year, although with everyone being all over the place for Christmas I've been trying to track down some clearer details - unfortunately have drawn a blank at the minute!
