Hello,

I have been searching for a related issue but have been unable to find a solution. I am trying to sync a playlist to my galaxy s3. Every time I connect my phone to the wifi network, the syncing process begins. After 1-3 minutes of syncing songs, my computer completely freezes. Note: This is not an issue of spotify app freezing on either phone or PC, but, rather, my entire windows operating system locking up. My only option is to do a force restart of my PC.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit.

I have tried turning off Hardware Acceleration and reducing cache size to 1 gb. These ideas made no difference...still froze up. Any ideas or solutions would be most welcome. Thank you!

Hi. As a first step, could you try reinstalling your desktop client. If you still have issues, could you see if this happens with a different playlist?

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, this did not work. I have completely removed and then reinstalled Spotify, and just tried to sync my songs. Computer froze again, leaving me with a hard reset as the only option.

This is definitely weird. You're not also using a USB connection? Let's go for broke - could you reinstall spotify on both the PC and your mobile.

Are you trying to sync local files or is it content from Spotify? If it's just content from Spotify, you should be able to sync it without your desktop client.

Don't think I have seen any other reports of this lately. I'm assuming once the computer freezes, Spotify on the S3 stops synching?
