Hi,

I also have an S4, and can confirm that something is going on when changing track in spotify. My max-volome drops, so the device max volume is really low. This will only be resolved by disabling the eq or unplugging the earphone, unplugging the earphones returns the max-volume to the correct level until i press next song.

Note that this seems to only apply if changing to next song manualy, i.e. it does not happen if i play each song to the end and the next one starts automatically...

As it does only happen when selecting next, it seems to me that it is a spotify issue..

Hi all,

Does anyone know how to fix this particular issue? Ever since the new firmware update for Android in September, everytime I play a new song on spotify, I have to clear the RAM for the volume just to sound decent.

I even changed phones via warranty just thinking that it could be the phone. Im running a Galaxy S4 with Android 4.2.2 and the latest spotify update.

Any help would be great!!!!

Hi. Could you try a couple of things to see if they help.

Go to the spotify app options and turn off audio effects if they are on.

Turn off any other equaliser.

Turn off adapt sound in the S4 sound settings.

If you still have problems, please shout.
