I only can hear the beats and chorus playing. not not when somebody sings.

Hi. Is this on a particular track or generally? What device, android version and spotify version?

This tends to be on HTC devices, correct?

Spotify taps into the standard Android equaliser.... which HTC remove from 'Settings-Sounds' in their Sense based ROMS as they like to use their own EQ such as Beats.

Best bet is to use another app which has a built in EQ such as PowerAmp which will change the global sound settings, which should also apply to tracks in Spotify.
