unable to use spotify

When i open the app it says "unfortunately spotify has stopped"

Open Spotify on Android
Then error message appears
Restarted my phone serval times
uninstalled app as well
i have a galaxy s5 premium plan

I've seen a few reports of issues with S5's. Does your phone have an SD card in it? Does it work if you take it out?

Have you checked to make sure your firmware is up to date? I think there was a bug fix released by Samsung a week or so ago.

I was able to login to spotify when i removed my sd card. However after i got to the main menu the same happened as before "unfortunately sportify has stopped"

So i took my sd card out. Uninstalled spotify. Restarted my phone. Reinstalled spotify. Logged in.. and it worked. I then put my sd card back in and it is still working.. thanks!

I often get this problem!
And I want to know why?

Last time it was OK just to restart the phone.

Two times I have had to de-install the software, restart, re-install it before working.

It is frustrating to waste time for this...

Hola, a mi de pronto me salió que tenía que actualizar mi spotify, pero al hacerlo, en google play me salió el aviso de que mi equipo no es compatible. Qué puedo hacer. Y si es por actualización del equipo cómo puedo hacerlo?

Hola, a mi me salio de pronto Que Tenia Que Actualizar mi spotify, Pero al Hacerlo, en google play me salio el aviso de Que Mi Equipo No Es compatible. De Qué sí puedo Hacer. Y si es porción actualización del Equipo de Como Hacerlo sí puedo?

It sounds like you are using an older or budget phone which is no longer supported. Check out the latest update on this from spotify here.

I have a samsung S5, updated the last version of Spotify 4.0.0.800 but then stop working. It pop up the message "Spotify stop working" I tried some solution of the blog that says that I have to unistall, remove the SD card, restart the phone, install the app and log it in; I did it but still don't work, open the app, log it and says some message of news for running and close up.

I'm from Costa Rica, but have my phone in portuguese. Don't know if that can cause any problem.

Any help please?
