Not able to sync with LG G2 (Android 4.3)

I am not able to sync with my Android (LG2, Android 4.3) device. The device is not even showing under Devices. Have tried all the tips in this forum I could find:

- fresh install of Spotify on my phone, cache deleted, old files deleted etc

- router restart, windows restart, phone and wifi restart

- firewall, virus off. No windows firewall.

I have tried connecting the phone directly with a USB cable. Windows recognises the device without any issues. Spotify still cannot see the device.

Any ideas anyone out there?

It's worth double checking your router settings to make sure uPnP is enabled.

Double-checked. Router uPnP is enabled. None of that should be an issue though if I connect the Android device via USB cable to the PC which I habe done in order to rule out network issues. The device still does not show. Is my thinking correct here?

Spotify won't sync via USB so it won't make any difference I'm afraid.
