activity spotify (in application spotify) is not responding

Whenever I try to access spotify on my phone the screen turns white for about 30 seconds, then a message pops up: "activity spotify (in application spotify) is not responding." I uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. Any thoughts?

What kind of device are you using and what is the android version in it possibly? Are you using the latest Spotify client on the device?

Has it worked before or just first time installation etc?

Does this screen come up right after you log in?

Hi,

I have the same problem today.

I'm running Spotify on an HTC Wildfire, android version 2.2.1

I don't know what version of Spotify is running as it won't start, but it is the new interface and was upgraded a few weeks ago.

It was working fine yesterday, but today I get the white screen when I select the spofity icon, and (eventually) the error message,

I've powered off the phone and restarted, but get the same result - can anyone help?

I seem to have resolved my own problem.

After reading elsewhere on the forum that this problem could be caused if the SD card was full, I went to check the available space - which I couldn't, because when I'd plugged the phone in to charge, I'd also mounted the device as an external disk, making the SD card unavailable... to Spotify.

Unmounted the disk, started Spotify, and problem solved.

Hopefully this info will be useful if there's anyone else out there as daft as me...

Hi I am getting this error every few mins on my Sony android 2.3.4 phone. Its happening since I foolishly upgraded the client. Re install brought no joy. Any ideas gurus?
