Map My Ride Text to Speech Issue still persisting

There was a substantial thread where Spotify had to fix inaudible text to speech whilst Spotify was playing. Whilst that issue seems to be fixed on Google Maps and navigation apps like Co-Pilot and Tom Tom, I'm afraid to say it isn't fixed on Map My Ride.

Whilst listening to music, every mile the app announces distance, heart rate etc. Previously before the fix the sound was inaudible, now after the fix, the music volume jumps about 20dB meaning you can't actually hear the the voice announcement. You can easily replicate this issue by trying the voice notifications in the app whilst playing Spotify.

Can you please look to fix this? I'll be rolling back to the older version which paused the music whilst text to speech played, as this worked perfectly.

P.S.

I'm using the very latest version of Spotify as of today 2nd June 2014, version 1.1.0.113.

I contacted the helpdesk but just got the generic, thanks we listen to all your feedback. Clearly this is not seen as an issue, but for me makes Spotify totally unusable. It seems they think they have solved this issue, when clearly it still persists on some apps.

I have pretty much the same issue when the mobile is playing sound through a Plantronics Bluetooth headset or Bose Mini

Text to Speech does not work when Spotify is playing
Google Play Music does play through the BT device when Spotify is running (not neccesarily playing). I have to kill Spotify to make Google Play Music work

SVOX or Google Text to Speech, it does not make any difference
