Kit Kat Lock Screen Droid Maxx

I have a Droid Maxx running Kit Kat (v 4.4). I *LOVED* the lock screen that allowed me to skip songs w/o unlocking my phone, but since the update to both Spotify and to Kit Kat, I no longer have the screen. Can anyone help?

You're using the stock lockscreen and not golocker or anything? Which version of spotify are you using?

After doing some more digging - I have Klipsch head phones with an inline control - this was conflicting and causing it to not allow me to use both. Turning off the Klipsch, the screen is back. Thanks!

Does it work with other music players? Knowing this will help pin down the culprit.
