app doesnt work

Can someone help me? I had spotify on my Phone and now the app doesnt work. I get a announcement that spotify has stopped. And then i get a Black screen. I already removed the app.and downloaded again. But the problem is still there

Hi, welcome to the community 🙂

Remove both Cache and Data from spotify (application manager) than uninstall spotify and reboot your device.

After this, reinstall spotify.

I have to say this is ridiculous. I keep having this problem. Have not been able to login for a week now.

Did you reinstall using these steps:

- Go to System Settings

- Go to Apps/Manage Apps

- Find Spotify there

- On Spotify's page, tap "Clear Cache", if it's not greyed out

- Then tap uninstall and remove the app

- Power off your phone and remove the battery, if it is removeable. Power back on.

- With a File Manager on your phone or using a Computer and a USB cable, go to Internal Storage > Android > Data and delete the folder named com.spotify.music. Delete com.spotify.mobile.android.ui if it's present.

- Reinstall Spotify from Google Play

If you did this and it didn't solve the problem, what's your device and android version? You can check on System Settings > About
