LG G3 - Spotify behavior, especially when headphones are inserted or removed.

I recently upgraded to the LG G3 phone from a Samsung Galaxy G3.

Device: LG-D851
Android Version: 4.4.2

Spotify performance has been very poor since the last update.

1- If Spotify is open, when I insert headphones and attempt to play a song it occasionally makes my screen "black." No other applications do this, only Spotify. The phone is still responsive, in that I can push volume up or down and it makes a sound but the screen remains black. I often have to pul the battery, which is a complete irritation when I have an otterbox on my phone.

2-Spotify often stalls when searching or interacting with the software. My internet connection is not the cause, because if I switch to other applications like youtube, it works fine.

Help, please look into this Spotify. I love you, but I hate you right now.

I get the screen black and unresponsive for several seconds. Slow to load even downloaded playlists.

Is this problem still occuring? I am about to switch to LG G3 soon and I use it daily (almost 24/7) on my phone. So I really need an informative feedback from you guys. Thanks in advance.
