Spotify No Longer Downloading Local Files To Playlists

Ok... I have no idea what happened to Spotify or what... but I used to able to download Local Files to playlists on my phone which is how I would listen to alot of my music since Spotify doesn't have all the music I listen to.

Now recently, my phone/Spotify is not downloading ANY local files, even files that were downloaded before. What's going on? Did Spotify change something? This is really irritating me and may cause me to cancel my Subscription if I can't do this basic thing.

Hmm...that's really odd. The best course of action here would be to try a clean reinstallation of the application.

I just tried it and it didn't resolve the issue. It won't recognize any of my computer's local files I guess. But I never have had a problem with this.

Also just lost some of the local file songs on my phone and now won't download again :'(

Go ahead and reach out to Spotify Support. They can be reached through their Twitter Page @SpotifyCares or through the online contact form.

Make sure to check your inbox and junk folder for an email from Spotify. Once you get it, make sure to reply back right away, even if it says it's from a "no-reply" email.

Support try to respond within 24hrs. If you haven't heard by then post back here and we can escalate it for you.

In the mean time, can you try a clean install again but use the guide in my signature as there are extra steps to take.
