Edits to Play Queue are not Reflected on App

When I edit the play queue on the desktop app, if I am using Connect with my Android device, it shows the wrong information for the current song playing, as if the songs that I added to the play queue are not there.

To clarify, if I start playing a playlist, it will connect perfectly, and show the correct song information on my phone. If I add a song, or a few songs, to the top of the play queue, when those songs are playing, the app shows the next song after the added songs rather than reflecting what is actually playing.

I tried searching the forums, but I didn't see any reports of this anywhere. Anyone else seen something similar?

Which version of the desktop app are you using? Spotify Connect isn't yet released on desktop.

Oops. I'm obviously getting my terminology wrong here, then. I may not be talking about Connect at all?

What I'm experiencing is when playing music in the desktop client, the app on my phone, while the track forward/back controls work to control the track playing on the desktop, it displays the wrong track information compared to what is actually playing.

If it's still relevant, the version of the desktop client that I'm using is 0.9.14.13.gba5645ad

Weird, it does sound like connect but I wasn't aware it was available! Can anyone else do this haha?

I believe connect for desktop is on a soft roll out. Some users have it out seems from other parts I've read on the forums.
