Android App won't play - pauses all tracks

A few days ago my android app ran into this issue when using headphones. Immediately after playing a track it will pause on its own. Restarting the track and it will pauses again. This goes for streaming and offline tracks.

Here's what I've done so far:

-multiple reinstalls
-changed streaming quality

Please help!

Also, I dont believe I installed any new apps on my phone in that time.

Actually no. It can cause issues. Can you follow the troubleshooting guide at the top of the forum on how to get a clean install, see if this helps.

Dear all,

I got the same problem, I can't play any tracks at all, shuffle or not, headphones or not -- they'll pause immediately (less than a second). Reinstalling won't help either.

I am using a Nexus 7 (2013), Android 4.4.4, Spotify (Free) Version 1.7.0.830

EDIT -- Issue solved, all is working well again.

This issue had something to do with my tablet. Even though hadn't used it in a week when I checked it today and opened spotify it immediately started playing the song I had queued up on my phone. Issues solved i hope.
