I'm not sure this will happen as the app is keeping in the design guidelines cross-platform. It would be nice, i agree. Maybe post an idea in the ideas forum and see what happens.

Hey @tanelofficial ,

no need to create a new idea. There's already one for this, have a look at the following suggestion: Redesign the Android app to fit the Design Guidelines (the idea was created before the new Material Design was out, but it requests "to fit the guidelines" so it now applies to the Material Design.. There was a request for Material Design before and it was marked as *duplicate* since it's the same as the mentioned suggestion)
So please leave you kudos/comments there to support the idea! 🙂

Thanks @Carina I'm normally replying on my mobile and it's a pain to try and find the idea's etc to suggest.

I definitely think there is a nice balance to be found between keeping the "Spotify" design consistent across platform but also tweaking the app for the platform guidelines.

Interested to see what the android devs do.
