slow playback

Hi,

I have spotify app on my nexus 4 lollipop and I have a good connection speed .. 20 Mbps and ping around 40.
But playback is very very slow, as if connection speed is low.

I called my ISP many times, thinking that there's a problem with connection speed .. But I realized that I don't have this problem with YouTube or any other streaming services!

I'm not sure what is the issue exactly, but please can you help?!

When this problem is? Anytime or at sometime like at peakhours?

Your operator full name and country?

Do you use mobile network or stable connection (cable modem, adsl, vdsl etc).

It happens anytime. Operator is Saudi Telecom Company and I'm using mobile network!

Many thanks this is now reported.

It could be great if you also try to reinstall your Spotify app in meantime, as this might solve this issue.

Hey @mahiralghamdi do you have any other devices with Spotify you can test on that ISP? How does it work for you when you are connected to another wifi, perhaps at work or school?

I've tried on another device, and on WiFi, the same thing ..
Actually, sometimes it says "no internet connection"
And sometimes it just doesn't play anything!

We've taken a look at your account and it's currently set to the US - is this where you live, or do you live in Saudi Arabia?

Unfortunately we're not available there just yet, so this might be why you're currently experiencing some issues.

Are you using any sort of VPN?

I was in the US. and no, I'm not using VPN. the issue began recently, one month ago maybe. and I've been in Saudi Arabia for months now!

I have the same issue since about the same time. STC is probably causing this, just like they have with other services in the past for various reasons.

I have a similar issue.

The app itself is working just fine, but streaming on WiFi is just extremely slow.

I tried:

1. changing quality standards

2. logging out and in again

3. reinstalling the app

4. removing my phone's SD memory card

I'm using Android Lollipop on Huawei Ascend Mate 7.

Please help me fix it.

I'm not willing to pay for a service I can't use to stream songs without buffering.
