Playback Stops Half Way Through Song

I have an unrooted HTC One M8 and the playback on the app stops approx. halfway through the song but shows to still be playing with no sound. I've tried pausing and playing but it just shows that it's playing with no sound still. I've tried closing and restarting the app, I've uninstalled and reinstalled it, I've restored my phone recently and it still happens. If I switch songs it plays halfway and then the sound stops just like the previous song. I haven't done anything differently, it just started about 2 weeks ago.

does this problem also happen in the htc one m8 music player as well? A friend of me has the same phone but he is not experiencing this issue.... Really strange

I have the same hone, no issues here. Can you try without the SD card installed? It may be that your SD has an issue or the cache is corrupt. If so, delete folder /Android/data/com.spotify.mobile and then try again
