HTC M8 Widget very Buggy

Hello Community 🙂

First i wanted to ask if someone else has the same issue before i post it in the "Ongoing Issues" Topic. He doesn't reinstalled cause he has about 2500 songs and he don't want to resync all. So this is just a general question if someone of you has the same problem or not. If not he will reinstall.

So here we go

Description

there are 2 Issues. One time when he clicks on the cover of the Widget (please look at the screenshot) there pops up just the Spotify icon in the upper left corner. When he restarts the app it works a few times but then the same problem appears again and again. The other one is that sometimes in the widget there is a completely other song displayed (watch screenshot 3.jpg and 4.jpg)

What are the steps you took to get to the error/issue?

1. Click on the cover in the widget

2. Spotify logo in the left upper corner appears, but nothing more

and

1. Unlocks phone

2. Completely other song is displayed in the widget then the actual playing one

What I expected to happen

1. spotify opens normally

2. the widget shows up the correct song

Did you restart your device when troubleshooting in section B?

Device’s Operating System

Android 4.4.4 (i think... im quite sure)

What type of account do you have?

Premium of course

Is your device rooted?

Did you set your external SD card as storage location?

Yes, he did

Did you manually install an older version before installing the latest version from the Play Store?

Do you have the same issue when switching between WiFi/Mobile Data (If applicable)?

Yes

My mobile Spotify version

The newest one. Im sorry but I don't know which one it is. //Date reported: 10.01.2015

Hi,

I have the M8 as well and don't have that issue. The widget correctly displays the currently playing track... Afraid to say I think a clean install may be the best option.
