Strange sounds when android plays music.

Description

When I am streaming music on my android phone I get strange noises in the music. The sounds are almost like static but they are more electronic and closer to what dial-up used to sound like. This happens with and without headphones, and only on my phone, not in any of my other devices that use spotify such as my computer. The sounds cut in and out of the music randomly and my music even stop all together for a few seconds then continues to play music that is riddled with what sounds like radio interference.

What are the steps you took to get to the error/issue?

(We need to know what you are doing so we can do the exact same to try and get the same error)

First I Think I updated my the version of Spotify on my phone to 2.2.0.636

Then I just open Spotify as I would normally.

I would click on any song just as you normally would.

I would let the app play music just as I normally would.

What I expected to happen

I expected the music to play without interference.

Did you restart your device when troubleshooting in section B?

Yes

Did you read the connection troubleshooting tips?

Yes

Your device

Samsung Galaxy S III

Device’s Operating System

4.4.2 KitKat

What type of account do you have?

Premium

(FYI for the below points: Android devices tend to refer to the internal memory as "SD Card" and the SD card you inserted yourself as "External SD Card")

Space left on your device

9.52GB

Space left on your SD card (if applicable)

29.30GB

Is your device rooted?

No

Did you set your external SD card as storage location?

No

Did you manually install an older version before installing the latest version from the Play Store?

No

Do you have the same issue when switching between WiFi/Mobile Data (If applicable)?

Yes

My mobile Spotify version

2.2.0.636

My desktop Spotify version (if applicable)

0.9.15.27.g87efe634

My mobile provider and country

Verizon US

My username

Joshua Dailey

Do you have a Spotify (non-Facebook) login?

No

Are you logging in with Facebook or with your Spotify login details?

Facebook login information

Do you have any screenshots you can attach to more clearly explain your issue?

No. However I can record the sound an attach it.

If that is something that you would like then please let me know.

I can be contacted at joshua.dailey1995@gmail.com
