Using VPN on Android redownloads offline playlists

Hey guys,

I use a VPN program on my phone a lot. whenever I turn it on, Spotiry starts to redownload all my offline playlistst (+2500 songs) all over. When I turn the VPN off, it does it again and this goes on and on. What can I do about this :(.

What VPN app do you use? I have a couple I use regularly and don't get this issue.
